Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer with 5-6 years of expertise in PCBA manufacturing to ensure high-quality standards in production, customer satisfaction, and continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in PCBA processes, 7 QC tools, customer issue resolution, and NPI process validation.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Process Control:
– Monitor and control PCBA manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with industry standards (IPC-A-610, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, etc.).
– Implement and maintain 7 QC tools for root cause analysis and process improvement.
– Develop and update quality control plans, work instructions, and checklists for PCBA production.
– Conduct process audits, first article inspections (FAI), and failure analysis (FA).
Customer Issue Resolution:
– Investigate customer complaints and field failures, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
– Work closely with cross-functional teams to address customer quality concerns and ensure timely resolution.
– Prepare 8D reports, CAPA documents, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
New Product Introduction (NPI) & Validation:
– Participate in NPI process validation, including DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFT (Design for Testability), and FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis).
– Define and execute process validation plans (PVP), qualification tests, and PPAP for new product launches.
– Ensure smooth transition from prototype to mass production while maintaining quality standards.
Continuous Improvement & Compliance:
– Drive Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen initiatives for continuous improvement.
– Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to enhance incoming material quality and reduce defects.
– Ensure compliance with ESD control, RoHS, REACH, and IPC standards in PCBA manufacturing.
– Train production and quality teams on best practices and quality methodologies.
– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, or related field).
– 5-6 years of experience in PCBA quality engineering.
– Strong knowledge of PCBA processes, SMT, wave soldering, and reflow soldering.
– Hands-on experience with 7 QC tools, SPC, DOE, and MSA.
– Expertise in 8D problem-solving, FMEA, CAPA, and 5 Why analysis.
– Experience in NPI validation, PPAP, and APQP.
– Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, IPC-A-610, and other industry standards.
– Proficiency in using quality tools such as Minitab, JMP, or other statistical software.
– Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of Automotive or EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) industry is a plus.
Six Sigma Certified with strong involvement in project execution .
